New Square, NY-RefuahHealth is announcing the launch of a series of pop-up vaccination sites in Rockland County and the greater Hudson Valley. This project is a collaboration between RefuahHealth, local officials, and community leaders to proactively identify the most vulnerable populations in need of the COVID-19 vaccine and bringing the vaccine directly to those communities. In less than one week, over 2,200 vaccines have been administered to qualified patients at community-based sites, as well as at RefuahHealth’s Rockland County locations.

“RefuahHealth is committed to acting quickly and efficiently to get vaccines into arms and help protect the health of our whole community. By working directly with community-based organizations and sites, we can meet our patients where they are, increasing accessibility and reaching more people as quickly as possible,” said Alexandra Khorover, Chief Strategic Officer and General Counsel. “Fundamentally, vaccinating people against COVID-19 is the best way to help bring an end to the pandemic.”

People who qualify for the vaccine under the state’s prioritization framework can sign up through RefuahHealth to be vaccinated at the community-based pop-up sites, which include:

  • Suffern Community Center in cooperation with the Suffern Mayor’s Office
  • Centros Dos Amigos
  • The Rockland Fire Training Center in cooperation with the Rockland Office of Aging
  • Konibit Neg Lakay
  • YSV Schools
  • Horizons Senior Housing
  • Esther Gitlow Towers
  • Hyenga Lake Senior Housing in Spring Valley

Additional locations will be added in the coming weeks.
