RefuahHealth Hosts Senator Chuck Schumer, Congressman Mondair Jones and Senator Elijah Reichlin-Melnick at Ribbon Cutting to Celebrate Launch of Acute Care at Main Street Campus

U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer and Congressman Mondaire Jones commemorate the opening of RefuahHealth’s Acute Care on the Main Street campus in Spring Valley, NY. Acute Care specializes in walk-in sick visits.

NEW SQUARE, New York – RefuahHealth hosted a ribbon cutting to celebrate the launch of Acute Care at its Main Street campus, located at 728 N. Main in New Square, New York.

The Center’s newest service line functions as an urgent care, providing walk-in appointments for all individuals experiencing health issues that cannot wait for a primary care visit. These on-demand sick visits will increase access, convenience, and improve health.

“We recognize that our Members want a seamless experience, with the shortest wait time possible, and that’s what we aim to provide,” said Alexandra Khorover, Chief Strategy Officer at RefuahHealth. “We want Members to walk-in for an easy sick visit and know that they are not only getting the urgent attention they need, but that they also have unique access to Refuah’s robust service network for follow-up care. If a patient comes in sick and needs a follow-up appointment with a specialist, we can do that right here at the Center.”

Acute Care patients will benefit from RefuahHealth’s full continuum of care including comprehensive medical, dental, specialty medical, mental health, women’s health, pediatrics, etc. The program aims to provide the highest standard of urgent care with comprehensive follow-up within RefuahHealth’s larger service network. This will improve population health among the historically underserved.

Acute Care is housed in a newly renovated space located on the lower left-hand side of the Center’s Main Street location.  With a dedicated, separate entrance, getting in and out is quick and easy. Acute Care providers collaborate with RefuahHealth medical, dental, and mental health departments to ensure a continuum of care.

“RefuahHealth is privileged to continue supporting the community in every way possible,” said Khorover. “We are confident this new approach to urgent care will improve the care and the experience of our Members.”

RefuahHealth, a community cornerstone for over 30 years, provides comprehensive medical, dental, and mental health care, including select medical specialties, to residents across Rockland and Sullivan Counties in New York’s lower Hudson Valley.
