Optometry & Optical Shop

We help our Members see clearly

Proper vision and eye care is an integral part of routine health maintenance, and our team of onsite optometrists provide routine eye care to Members of all ages. The American Academy of Ophthalmology recommends that children have vision testing starting at age three and see an eye doctor as needed. Adults with no signs or risk factors for eye disease should get a baseline screening at age 40, the time when early signs of disease and changes in vision may start to occur.

Certain systemic diseases are also associated with changes to the eye. The most common are diabetes and hypertension. With appropriate early intervention, potentially blinding disease such as glaucoma, cataract and diabetic retinopathy often have a favorable outcome. All patients with risk factors for these conditions are encouraged to make regular appointments with their optometrist for continued care.
